2nd International Symposium Tansey Miniatures Foundation

PORTRAIT MINIATURES: ARTISTS, FUNCTIONS AND COLLECTIONS

Celle Castle, November 11th to 13th

 

 

No less than 23 speakers from all over the world will meet from November 11th to 13th 2016 in Celle and present specific aspect of portrait miniatures. Again, a conscious decision was made to cover a broad spectrum. It is precisely the consideration of miniature painting from various viewpoints that opens up an in-depth understanding of this special form of portraiture.

The symposium will be held on the occasion of the planned opening of the sixth exhibit of the Tansey Miniatures Foundation and the publication of the accompanying catalogue, Miniatures from the Baroque Period in the Tansey Collection. The conference will be in English. Admission is free, but a previous registration is necessary.
